A long standing member of Venturas coffee roasting scene. Inevitably buy a bag to take home. They have their roasting down to a science. Take coffee brewing seriously. Make their own syrups. And brew a solid cup of coffee. Easy to drink. Happy to have ordered time and again. Open early. Usually has street parking within a few seconds walk. Easy wheelchair access. Coffee shop has a few space to sit and enjoy the coffee. And a few tables outside. It’s a go to consistently.

delicious drinks, good shots, great staff. lots of creative seasonal options, and pastries also delicious. it can get crowded but I always manage to find a seat - however the seats are not the most comfortable in the world. but still great for productive work.

Great staff and quality coffee. If you want an amazing drink on your way up the coast this is the place. I also enjoy the seating, just an enjoyable place to relax for a while.

10/10. I come from Australia and the standard of coffee is extremely high. So when I stumbled on this absolute treasure while in Ventura I was completely overjoyed!!! The cold brew is exceptional and the shots are pure and flavourful. I am aghast yo have found such a good coffee on such a day! Well played Prospect, well played! If I lived in Ventura or around, this place would be a main joint I’d hit up!!! I am very satisfied. 😎😎😎

Great place with cool and chill staff ready to take your order and get a drink to you quickly. They are amazing at what they do and they make your drink wiith a smile. The becerages I've gotten here are delicious. Most recently the Solimar Coconut. So unique in a latte but goes so well with the espresso. The atmosphere is great. Limited seating but on a good day it's great to take a walk with your latte anyhow :) get some Prospect Coffee and head to the Pier or watch the sunrise and it will make your morning.

Just popped in for a few minutes and left, but the space was great, staff was friendly, and the coffee was killer. Had an oat Gibraltar and couldn’t have been happier. Grabbed a super tasty kombucha on the way out.

I stopped by Prospect Coffee Roasters in Ventura and got a matcha, and honestly it was so good. The flavor was super smooth and not overly sweet—just really well balanced and refreshing. The shop itself has a really nice, clean vibe and feels like a great place to hang out or catch up with friends. You can tell they care about quality, not just with their coffee but with everything on the menu. I’d definitely come back, especially for that matcha. It’s easily one of the better ones I’ve had in the area.

When I first moved to Ventura a few years ago, I discovered Prospect Coffee Roasters, and it quickly became one of those reliable, feel good spots. West Ventura has no shortage of great coffee options now, but this is still one of my go to places. I love that I can walk in, grab my iced vanilla latte, and be on my way without any fuss. The loyalty points definitely do not hurt either. They always keep me coming back. I am honestly not sure where some of the negative reviews come from. At a certain point, it feels like people are just committed to complaining and cosplaying as coffee critics. Every time I am there, I am greeted, the service is efficient, and the drinks are consistent. I did not realize it was illegal for coworkers to talk to each other. And yes, dogs are not allowed inside. That is basic health department rules and common sense. If you are looking for a cozy neighborhood coffee shop with solid coffee, quick service, and a great loyalty program, Prospect is worth stopping by. Street parking only. Just be mindful not to block driveways.

I always drive past this coffee shop and never stop, but I finally had time and decided to stop in and was pleasantly surprised. I love how prospect positions itself as a coffee shop for the people and for the community. The coffee is great the staff is nice and the space is great for meeting up with friends or working solo. We got a vanilla latte, vanilla matcha and the espresso tonic which was surprisingly mild.
